Northwest Permanente Implements Kryptiq’s Choreo Contract Manager
Nation’s Largest Nonprofit Health Plan Standardizes Language of Contracts
Portland, Ore. – June 17, 2008 – Kryptiq, the leading provider of next generation healthcare connectivity solutions, today announced that Northwest Permanente, a medical group that contracts exclusively with Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of the Northwest, has successfully implemented Kryptiq’s Choreo™ Suite to automate its provider contracting process. To adhere to State, Federal and NCQA regulations and requirements, Northwest Permanente is utilizing the Choreo Suite to manage contract language to enable rapid assessment of contract compliance across its entire network.
“Since our implementation of Kryptiq’s Choreo Contract Manager, we’ve seen significant improvements in how we manage regulatory compliance,” said Terry Brown, associate director of provider relations & system at Northwest Permanente. “One of our long-term goals is to evolve towards standardized contracts, and we are excited to see how Kaiser Permanente benefits from this successful automation.”
As a leading healthcare organization in the Pacific Northwest with more than 3,400 providers in its contracted network, Northwest Permanente needed a provider contracting system that was easy to implement for comprehensive contract management workflows. Prior to implementing Choreo, Northwest Permanente utilized a customer relationship management system for provider demographic and workflow management. Now, these systems have been tied together to systematically manage contract documents and language across the organization. By streamlining these systems, Northwest Permanente now has the automation and transparency capabilities to grow and manage its provider networks as it moves to more standardized contracts.
“Data transparency and secure connectivity among providers, health plans and patients are vital for creating an efficient healthcare system,” said Luis Machuca, president and CEO of Kryptiq. “This implementation demonstrates Northwest Permanente’s dedication to improving their network management intelligence and serves as an exemplary model for the country’s health organizations.”
